Help with Balanced diet?
Definitely do not skip any meals! I've found that eating 5 small meals a day really helps for weight loss. It keeps your metabolism moving all day long. A bowl of whole grain cereal with reduced fat milk or almond milk and some fresh fruit is good. After a few hours you should have snack, like a yogurt or a banana. For lunch go with a salad with dark, leafy greens (spinach, arugula, kale), and other vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. And when it comes to salad dressings stay away from creamy ranches or thousand islands. Go with a low fat or fat free vinagrette. After a couple more hours if you're hungry eat another snack, like 2-3 scrambled egg whites. They are packed with protein and low calorie, with absolutely no fat! (All the fat in eggs comes from the yolk) For dinner, you could have some steamed vegetables with rice, beans with rice, or a vegetable soup.
