He's my best friend but were fighting?

Okay so I am a girl and my best friend happens to be a boy :/ his name is Joel we have none each other since the begining of the school year it is now almost the last week of the school year and he is really pissing me off! he just wont stop he is pointing out every body's flaws and being mean. I tell him to shut up but he wont listen i tell him to go away and he will then i have to apoligize for him being a dick. are other best friend Kaitlyn told him a big secret and she told him not to think of her differntl but he did and he called he names so we were bad at him but he didnt get it he thinks every thing he does is fine and he has money he is pretty wealthy and he rubs it in my face and other peoples face he doesnt get right from wrong he thinks he is perfect he used to be the nicest kid and now he is just a brat! he makes me cry ALOT. What can i do? i dont want to loose him as a friend but he is just being a jerk and he also called me a ***** today because i yelled at him for being a jerk.. please help me i love him so much :(
