I'm bulimic, and I don't know what to do?

Since 8th grade, I've struggled with weight loss. I've never been "fat" but I've never been satisfied with my body either. Last year I was a size 6 and I started exercising daily and eating extremely healthy, but I didn't lose anything for a long time. 2 months ago I was down to a size 4, but I was still unsatisfied with myself so I started throwing up everything I ate, only keeping down maybe a small salad. External 1tb Mybook unreadable?

while I was watching some videos from my internal hard drive my computer restarted to install updates. Once the desktop loaded afterwards, windows explorer was very laggy and unresponsive. So, I unplugged my external hd and it solved the issue. But, now when I plug it back in I get a message box saying I need to format it before I can use it and I can't browse it at all. Also It doesn't show up as Mybook(L:) anymore. Now it's Local Disk(L:). I've tried plugging it into multiple usb ports and still the same issue. I have the entire drive completely full of irreplaceable data, so formatting is absolutely out of the question. Another odd thing is that the Western Digital Smartware drive still shows up as it usually does. I'm currently using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Anyone have a fix for this issue?

I am surprised that D-Link couldn't solve the problem as I found D-Link one of the more user friendly routers to program? Asume your drivers are correct etc, and the router is connected : internet>modem>router>PC's either ethernet or wireless or a comination. you have configured the Wi-Fi menu in the router to a name and encrypt and password protect it, to avoid unwanted users. Then you need to open your network center, search for you named signal >connect>enter the password> set it to connect automatically, voila? To access you router you need the IP address, can be 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 or check with you ISP? laptop can connect 3 ways to the internet, ethernet, wireless from a home internet or a USB dongle,on a packet or pre paid. D-Link router that I have came with a wizard connect CD and a manual. I assume thatis the wireless driver for the Acer laptop downloaded from Acer website? So is the problem at the browser, which may be a firewall issue? You can always do a factory resetwith a paperclip in hole next to power plug and reconfigure, this resets all passwords as well. once configured just give it a powr refresh, unplug from power for 30 seconds then plug bac in and let it cycle up. As Computers need a restart to complete update so does hardware, for changes to take effect, and I power refresh my router and modem once a week,as they can get into a bind? Keeps them fresh and fast.

Today my headset started acting funny. Basically whenever I watch videos, listen to music, talk to people through skype, etc... I can only hear the background sounds, but not the voices. Okay, so I have a friend (Friend A) who got in a fight with another friend (Friend B). I pried quite a bit, and finally Friend A told me that Friend B was mad at Friend A, because Friend A found out that Friend B was bulimic. Honestly, you don't have a good steady flow in your writing. I can't distinguish what your story is about. You're writing about one thong then describing something else. Also, ( idk if it is like this in Canada ) but in the U.S. you go to middle school before high school, and elementary before middle school (aka junior high). A few tips, focus on the message you want to convey in this passage, such as, the purple light. When you start off your story, you don't want the reader to know everything, allow then to ask some questions. Also, you do not need to describe your babysitter so in depth, if she an important character we will discover her personality through her speech and what others think of her. I know more about the babysitterthan I do the point of the story. Also, it's great that you want to tell how you and Annah met, but I frankly don't care about what the teacher thought of Annah's moving around so much. If that is a key component ofthe story, play with it a little, try building up to this flashback more and kind of have your mom and Annah's mom talking about you two and then tell how your character and Annah became friends in a brief way. Since Annah is clearly going to be a main character, you have time to describe her and your relationship in the story. Final tip be more descriptive but not overly descriptive, and give some but not all the information, and last but not least be creative but focus your creativity.

'm your classic teenager. I stay up late at night and sleep in during the summer. I've noticed something strange though. I'll stay up for sometimes over 35 hours at a time, and not be tired. I'll try to sleep, but I usually sit there for hours at a time, with no sleep. If I do sleep its for only a few hours at a time. Then I'll stay awake for another extremely extended amount of time. Its been about a week of this odd sleeping schedule and I've noticed other things as well. I've an immense decrease in appetite, and I feel sick if I eat to much. I force myself to drink enough water, even if it upsets my stomach.When I do eat I try to eat fruits and vegetables, things that are healthy, with things packed with fat and protein. Due to this I've lost a considerable amount of weight and it is begging to worry me. I have an odd little bruises on my leg. I also have extreme headaches that come on gradually. I'm paler than I usually am. I also have a unpleasant tugging sensation in my neck whenever I move it in one way or another. I'm not depressed, I'm actually really happy. My period was over two weeks ago, so I know it's not that. I'm not anorexic or bulimic, and I haven't had a history of it, nor have I ever had trouble sleeping. I understand how it feels to be clung to. I'm actually going into high school too. You said that she has way more friends than you, but you may be the only REAL friend she has. You also said that you tried to talk to her before about it, but I'm assuming that since you're such a nice person, it wasn't 100% straight forward. When you feel up to talking to her and telling her to back off, you need to be forceful, because obviously the nice route isn't going to work. Try something to the effect of:" Okay listen, I've tried telling you how I feel in the past, but you didn't listen, so now I have to be more forceful." This let's her know that you're being serious. Then you can add " I need my space. I really don't have time to be with you every single day, let alone a whole week(volunteer camp)." This let's her know that she is trying to spend too much time with you. Then add something like:" I feel like I am making sacrifices to make you happy, but in turn I become unhappy, and I have to put on a front like everything is okay when it's not. Like, I don't want to go to that volunteer camp, but I just made it seem like I was happy about it, just so you could be happy." This part will let her know that this kind of friendship isn't working out, and she will have to make changes in order to keep the relationship. Now you can say something like "I honestly care about you, but it's making me depressed when you are constantly talking about how bad you have it. I try to recommend and give ideas but you always push them away, so I don't know what your trying to get out of you complaining to me. If your trying to get me to pity you, it worked at first, but know it's just becoming a nuisance/annoying." At this point she probably will be furious, and if she ever tries to interrupt you while your talking, tell her to stop, because it's your turn to talk, and if she doesn't want to hear you out then it's not worth trying to talk to her. To wrap things up you can tell her "Listen, if this is going to work out, then you've gotta make the changes, because I'm done making the sacrifices, now it's you turn." Now, from what you've described her as, she will probably try to pull the pity card, and say things like "this is just like when my best friend left me, I'm bulimic." blah blah blah. You just have to remember, you're done with the pity, and you need to take a stand. If she won't comply to what you have said, then the friendship is done. If your gonna give her another chance, and she says she's gonna change, then you have to know your taking a risk. If you give her another chance, you HAVE to live up to your word. If she starts going back to her old ways, then the friendship is done. Don't just say your gonna end it, and then not, because she'll start to realize that your not going anywhere and just go back to her old self and take advantage of you. I'm 13 and me and my best friend Raquel have been best friends since we were 2. we have mostly been on the chubby side but not fat. i was 5'4 and weighed 135. she was 5'6 and weighed 149. i always felt deppresed about my weight but i was tall so you couldnt really tell i weighed that much. Raquel started going out with Jon he was the super cute jock that every girl wanted to go out with. later on in the relationship Jon stood up infront of the whole school and dumped Raquel and called her a fat whore. She was so hurt. I went over to her house and we talked about Health Class and about everything we were learning like bulimia,anorexia,purging,binging. And that was her solution to being fat. She made me promise that I would do it with her and I did because I was scared that I was going to loose my bff. This is how our day went: wake up for school run a little late so we wouldn't have to eat what our moms had made and just grab a granola bar or apple and throw it away on the bus. For lunch we would bring our lunch and just eat a little like a fourth of a sandwich and go to the bathroom and puke it up. For dinner we would eat as little as possible just enough for our parents not to notice and go to the bathroom and throw it up. That's how it is still because we don't feel beautiful and no matter how much weight we loose its never going to be enough.

First of all, stop the throwing up. You are a slim, young man who should weigh about 120 - 130 lbs. At your age and height you are a little under weight. Eat properly and eat nourishing food. Many boys your age eat a lot and don't gain weight because they burn off the food by physical exercises. You have 5-6 years of growth left in your life. You might grow to your father's height or in between. Eat healthy and thrive. Incidentally, water weighs about 7 lbs per gallon. If you drink lots of water or fluid like milk your body will show it on the scale until the next morning. Take care and good luck.

The real question is are your parents willing to spend tens of thosands of dollars to send you there... those places cost more than $1000 a day. Purging for all of a whole 2 weeks does not make you bulimic but this place would take you anyway if your parents would pay them.....

No matter how much you make yourself sick, it's the same process either way. The way you ask if you 'did it right' sort of sounds to me like you're aiming for bulimia. Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems that way. You did do it 'right' because you did make yourself sick but when you make yourself sick it isn't in the same way as if you're ill - when you're ill your body is bringing up the food itself so there's going to be more without effort. Don't aim for doing it right, aim for a balance in your life instead - eat healthy foods so that you don't feel the need to make yourself sick. Bulimia affects your teeth, heart and rids your body of electrolytes as well as harming your mind. Please try and help yourself before you get further into it xx

I pay for Direct TV, but I want to download some movies/TV shows so I can watch later offline. I also pay for Netflix, but it doesn't let me download the movies. I asked this question before and people seem to think I want to hack or somehow get the movies from direct TV or Netflix for free, but I pay $173.00 a month for premium package from Direct TV and 30.99 for Netflix. I can't stop eating,like compulsively!?

I had a problem with bulimia and anorexia 5 years ago and got down to a hundred and twenty pounds, I stopped because I got pregnant with my son and wanted him to be healthy. I am now a hundred and sixty five pounds. I'd like to the thinner, but the problem is I CAN NOT STOP MYSELF FROM EATING. I eat when i am bored, I eat when I watch tv, I can't go out anywhere without stopping to get something to eat, I am ALWAYS eating. So much that grocery costs are going through the roof. It's like a compulsive behaviour, I just cannot stop myself. What can I do to fix this problem? I don't want to go back to being anorexic or bulimic to lose weight. I'd just like to stop pigging out on EVERYTHING. Would a doctor be able to help me some how? Anyone else have this problem?

I have a lot of different friends and lately they all seem to be having issues and dumping them on me. These aren't generally trivial things like, "I'm so stressed!" it's usually like, "I'm bulimic/anorexic/suicidal/etc." I'm only 16 and I think people are telling me this because I don't have any issues of my own, but this is making me feel two things: One, super super stressed because I don't want to handle this alone, I want to take them to our school counselor but I'm afraid if I do that they will stop telling me about their problems and they will get worse and worse until I-don't-even-know-what will happen. Second, all their complaints about their lives make me feel bad about being happy with mine. What can I do to solve this situation?

Help with Balanced diet?

Definitely do not skip any meals! I've found that eating 5 small meals a day really helps for weight loss. It keeps your metabolism moving all day long. A bowl of whole grain cereal with reduced fat milk or almond milk and some fresh fruit is good. After a few hours you should have snack, like a yogurt or a banana. For lunch go with a salad with dark, leafy greens (spinach, arugula, kale), and other vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. And when it comes to salad dressings stay away from creamy ranches or thousand islands. Go with a low fat or fat free vinagrette. After a couple more hours if you're hungry eat another snack, like 2-3 scrambled egg whites. They are packed with protein and low calorie, with absolutely no fat! (All the fat in eggs comes from the yolk) For dinner, you could have some steamed vegetables with rice, beans with rice, or a vegetable soup.

I am getting ready to stain my deck, it's prepped and ready. I opened the 5 gallon bucket and it is not semi transparent at all!! We put some on in a small unnoticeable location and it is way too light and doesn't appear to be what we asked for. It is Behr Premium deck stain, tint base 5077 in cedar. So I am wondering what my options are, I don't want to spend another $100 on aa 5 gallon drum of stain. Got it at H*** D**** and am wondering if i take it back will they exchange me for the right thing? Can they darken the cedar color to a different color? HELP!!

God reading this felt like looking in a mirror. Well my therapist usually asks if there's anything I want to talk about. So if yours does the same I'd just simply say yes, and explain that you think you may have a eating disorder. She will understand, but I do understand where you're coming from. It's a little embarrassing and hard to bring up, but you have to. I have yet to tell my therapist in fear of losing the control, maybe one day. If you're wanting to get to a healthy weight, don't eat fatty stuff like donuts and chips all day. If you gain too much weight and get chubby, you'll probably start purging again, so just make sure to eat healthy things. Also, drink lots of water. Being that skinny, you can definitely become dehydrated and have a lot of diarrhea if you don't eat right. Good luck though :)

Help! Minecraft wont work?

I cant get minecraft to run on my mac..its running 10.5, latest java. When I try to log into the launcher it says "user not premium" (not downloaded) BUT it is downloaded! it doesnt give me the option to play offline..its the beta, I havent boughten the game. Since about two days ago, MS Paint and Notepad won't work. They don't open any files, or open on its own, they simply don't work. Im 17, around 5ft 5, and right now i'd say im about 10 stone. I would class myself as fat, i hate my figure, always have. My relationship with food, is not very good at all. I love it too much, I just love eating, the amount of food I can consume is groas, its pretty ridiculous. I tend to eat alot when im worried, or sad. I dont eat that much when im happy. I look at my belly in the mirror hundreds of times a day, just to see if its bloated or not. Not a day goes by that i do not think of my weight, every time i put food to my lips, my weight is in mind. I do make myself throw up, easily a good few times a day, depending on what i've eaten (how much i've consumed ETC) & if i can find time alone to do so (which most of the time i do, if not i make time). I used to have to sit with my head over the toilet for a while, gagging to try and get it to come up. But now, all i have to do is gagg a little, and the food just comes spilling out, i can make myself sick easily, it just like a natural reflex now. Whenever i feel full,i feel that i want to be sick. I dont feel sickly or anything, but i feel food in the back of my throat, that i feel needs to come out. I was an overweight as a child, I went to weight watchers ETC, and followed one of there routines, and lost around about 7pounds, i then stopped following there routine and started to loose the weight by myself, i cant remember really how i did this but it worked. I cant pacifically remember when i started throwing up, i know i've been doing it on and off for about a year now, but i probably did it before them. I've always battled with my weight, I just love food too much, I cant just have one pack of crisps i have to have the whole bag, if theres left over food, i have to eat it, even if i feel like im about too pop, the thought of someone else eating it, is just ridiculous, i have to have it. But then i get over filled with guilt, and then throw it back up. I know if i didn't throw up, i would be obese, because the intake of food that i actually can consume is frightening. I love food so much, that i'll binge, throw up & then go back for more food & then throw up, i'll continue to do this, until there is no food left. I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore bulimic, Can anyone give me some advice, on what to do, and how to battle this? I need to loose weight, otherwise i'll continue this, i would like to get down to about 8stone!

eat smaller amounts more often, hungry or not. instead of gorging when you do it. but eat healthy things, not snack foods. if its a snack food, make it a granola bar or something healthy. also youll lose weight faster if you completely cut out candy and pop, or only occasionally consume that stuff. worked for me. hope this helps.

Bulimia and sores on my hands :(?

I've been bulimic for a little over 2 years, i'm getting treatment for it, but am still on a long journey to recovery. Sorry if this is TMI..but from so many times of sticking my fingers down my throat and aggressivley forcing it, ive gotten a callus on the outside of my hand, like on my knuckle. And its slowly turning into something that looks like a wart. I don't know if its something that be taken care of, because it has blood in it? I went to the doctors to see if she could freeze it off, but she wasn't able to. I would recommend you ASUS G73SW-A1 laptop has performed well since I got it. I did have a slight problem with the Asus update utility but other than that I absolutely love it. It runs much cooler than I expected it to and I find that as long as I give it some space in the back it keeps the case cool to the touch.

Dirtbike shuts off when revved.?

I have a Yamaha 450f and after a year of sitting in the shed I changed out the jets, throttle tube and tire tubes. It starts perfectly and idles ok. But when revved maybe a quarter of the way it starts to lose rpm's and shuts off. And it makes a weird noise like a slight whistle or cricket type of noise. I thought it was the old gas in the tank so I put new premium gas and sea foam as well. I tried playing around with the carburetor but i can't get play nice. BUT... it does rev all the way when the choke is open (and I have to hold the damn thing open. It wont stay out >:/ ....) Any whom, can anybody tell me what is wrong or I'm doing wrong?

Help my sister is Bulimic ?

I have grown up in a house where my sister was anorexic turn bulimic, this is a horrid situation to live in and impacts the family as much or if not more than the bulimic. I believe that they like the taste of the food, but they tell themselves that they will get fat and they have to purge. As for how many times a day they would purge, I guess that depends on the day of the week. For example if they eat food they feel they are allowed to eat and wont make them fat they may not purge, or they may skip meals and there is no need to purge. My sister used to purge after binge eating junk foods, and almost after every meal that we had as a family because she did like the portion she was given or the type of food and my father made told her to eat it. Whilst it is up to the person to seek help and try and break the cycle I believe it is made better by letting the bulimic choose their portion of food and try talk to them about what they would like to eat for lunch or dinner that night. Also if they binge eat, it can be helped by limiting access to junky foods and take away that temptation in the cupboard. Do not force a bulimic to hold down their food or eat food they dont want to, this can make their selfesteem lower and make the cycle worse. It is ultimately their choice to break this cycle and the best thing to do is try talk about it with them.

They do not eat alone but may pretend to eat by moving their food around on plate in front of people. They are perfect but cannot see their own perfection. i've been battling with bulimia since june or july of last year (NOT severe bulimia at all). in the beginning of me stopping, i didn't gain weight. now i see that i am starting to gain weight this time when i stopped in May, and i went to my cousins and his mom fed us a lot of food, and when i came home i weighed myself and i gained weight so i binged this morning and purged. my weight fluctuates like everyone else, but it never goes down and i gain weight easy. how can i make my metabolism fast again so i won't be afraid of weight gain as much? im only 16, almost 16.

I am bulimic (just the purging) and have been for about a year and I'm also anorexic and have been for two years. Okay so I was already feeling lightheaded so I ate something and then I purged it and a shitload of blood came out and that usually doesn't happen and I feel so lightheaded now and I purged over 30 minutes ago but my throat still burns so bad that I almost scream when I try to talk but if I scream then it will excruciating. Whenever I move my head up or down a whole bunch of brown spots cloud my vision for like ten seconds. My stomach hurts and I feel so dizzy I can't walk. I was about to call my parents but for some reason I cannot remember my moms cellphone number, I don't know why, probably because I am so dizzy, I can't remember which number in my headnis my best friend's, sister's, or mom's. My parets went out to dinner with friends and won't be back till like midnight, it's 10:30 now. Should I wait and see if this passes or call 911? No it doesn't sound like you are bulimic.. It does sound like you may be at the beginning of develping an eating disorder though.. I would definitely recommend getting help, or at least telling your parents, now. Bulimic Question, Updated, Still Important?

Okay, so I have a friend (Friend A) who got in a fight with another friend (Friend B). I pried quite a bit, and finally Friend A told me that Friend B was mad at Friend A, because Friend A found out that Friend B was bulimic. Now obviously Friend A is scared for Friend B, and wants to help, but Friend A thinks that if Friend B were to ever forgive them, they'd have to never tell about Friend B's bulimia problem. Now, Friend A knew that I wouldn't tell Friend B that I knew about Friend B's problem, so they told me. Friend A doesn't have the balls to get help for Friend B, so what do I do? Friend A will probably be mad at me if I try to get Friend B help, but ? What do I do? Who would I tell? What would I say, because telling anyone that a friend of a friend has bulimia is not very believable. I want to help Friend B without Friend A getting mad at me, but how would I do that? Also, School's out, so I can't tell the counselor, and even if I did, Friend A told the counselor, and she said that Friend B has to stay in control, and that telling people isn't letting Friend B be in control. So, me and this girl Kaitlyn were like absolute best friends. We did everything together, and were pretty much like sisters. Alcoholic/Bulimic/Cutter ?!?

I had a friend like this except she was anorexic, a cutter, and drank from time to time. you can't do anything unless they want help themself. i'm not sure why you telling would get you in trouble especially since all they have to do to believe you as look for the cuts. you can go to a counselor yourself and express your grief and ask your friend to go get help with you. maybe they're too afraid to do it, all you can do is be there for her. its probably really hard for her to talk about it so just reinforce that you're scared for her and you want to be there. and if it takes you coming with her to talk to someone thats what you'll do. if she still refuses you may have to woman up and say something to someone despite the consequences or just be there for her while the abuse continues. you shouldn't do the second option since its the most helpless but hey. some people do i guess. good luck :]

Why can't I eat, sleep, think, concentrate, study, and why do I keep forgetting things?

I'm an 17 year old girl, I ALWAYS eat healthy, exercise and get good grades but I haven't been able to sleep, concentrate, eat, study, exercise, or do pretty much anything for the past 2 years. I'm always forgetting things. I was bullied for 12 years and since I've graduated high school I haven't been able to do anything the way I used to. I force myself to eat, my parents always yell and lecture me about the things I'm doing. They think I'm anorexic or bulimic because I just don't feel hungry but I always force myself to eat because I know I need to. I barely get any sleep. I always have nightmares even when I do get some sleep. I can't concentrate on anything. I space out, forget to do things. I can't study at all, I stared at my books and computer for 18 hours yesterday trying to get myself to study. I can't think straight. I'm always tired. I don't feel like exercising. I went from being what my normal weight has always been: 118 Ibs. to 145 Ibs and it doesn't even look like I gained weight at all. I've never done drugs, alcohol, smoked, or anything like that and never will. I just don't feel like doing anything. I feel like everyone and everything is against me. I'm always tired. I'm angry at myself all the time now because I can't do anything I used to, it feels and looks like everything I worked so hard for is falling apart and it's all my fault. I literally lay in bed for hours trying to sleep, and drag myself out of bed everyday when I have to get up. My body is always sore, and in pain. I graduated high school a month after turning 15. I'm in university right now and nothing is going the way I want it to. I can't concentrate, or do anything. I try to learn but my mind and body literally shut down on me. I sit in the class trying to listen to the lectures and take notes, but after someone nudges me about class being over I realize that I couldn't hear anything that was said, and didn't have any notes at all. I'm always spacing out. It took my sister 48 minutes to snap me out of my spacing out yesterday. I'm so sick of this, and no this is not about any relationship. I'm the girl whose always cared about her education and future, there has never been anyone who is not family or friends in my life, and there won't be until I finish school. I had to cancel all my extra-curriculars because I just don't have the energy, patience, concentration that I need to participate in them. I'm confused all the time. I don't know what to do. My parents have taken me to every doctor and psychologist in my city and they are all idiots-and that's putting it nicely. I seriously can't take this anymore. I feel the need to scream all the time just to get everything out.I forced myself to exercise to blow off some steam but it didn't work. Yeah I have been wondering the same thing as well. It wasn't like the WWE to push her to Divas Champion at Summerslam from last year into being a regular in wrestling on Superstars. I've heard that she gained backstage heat prior to Wrestlemania 27 because she didn't like that Trish Stratus took her and several other Divas spot at Wrestlemania in the Tag Team match with Snooki. What type of eating disorder do i have?

ohk you may think i'm crazy for asking this on here but i'm not looking to seek help. i feel like i have different eating disorders depending on my situation. for example, when i was away at school i would be eating very little (like broccoli for dinner, for example) and then working out everynight for 2 hours. i was obsessed with calories and i couldnt skip a night of working out. now that im home for the summer, its harder for me to have complete control over what i eat (my mom makes dinner) so now i've found im more bulimic i think because if i eat something i know i shouldnt have, ill just go throw it up. but im not bingeing.
